Carpenter’s Combination Tool

Prototype of combination carpenters level and square by John Graham (c. 1867). The tool combines several carpentry tools including a bevel, marker, gauge,try-square, and level. A Swiss-Army knife of woodworking measurement tools.

Paper Pens

Paper pens made by inmates at Pelican Bay State Prison. Because the plastic casing of the pen can be used to make potential weapons, the inmates are just given the inkwell. To make the inkwell useable, it is wrapped with paper to increase the diameter and string to secure the paper and provide grip.
